just wanna share with u guys.

u like fishing? i do. as a kampung boy fishing is one of my main hobbies (other than climbing trees, swimming, play hide n seek, polis sentri, etc), but fishing was always on top of my list.

u know, near my grandfather's house..there is a small shallow river. i remembered me and my cousins and my aunts (im the eldest grandchild and my mum is the eldest from 12 siblings, so u can imagine how young my aunts was at tat time..) love to fish at tat small river. after fishing we went skinny deep! and continue playing until the water turned to brown because of the mud we stirred. yup.. happy memories. nowadays, we laugh when we talk about our child's life amongst us. oh yes, we had a very enjoyable life back then.

but, wat i wanna share wit u guys is an old kadayan saying. my great grandfather (may Allah bless his soul) had told us...if let say it happens that the fish manage to unhook itself from your hook, u got to say this:

"pung lilis, mun kau baitahu mamamu, umpung mulut mu bebuidis belangau begiuk!"

meaning tat if the fugitive fish told his relatives or his mother about a fisherman is running loose in their neighbourhood, he will pay the consequences (in this case he will loose his mouth while maggots eating his flesh...alive).

hhhmm..not a beautiful way to die isnt it. anyways, its just and old kadayan saying, and u know wat, the spell works! (i tried not to cast the spell couples of time..thus, i dun catch any fish after the 'one' get loose..) call me superstitious, but i do believe the spell works.

"Pung lilis?" i really dun know wat does it means actually. but i believed it is a name of some kind of creature or maybe an object or a thing. im not really sure.

i remembered when i was a little boy, my mother always told me to be kind to everybody, respect your elders and be polite in every sense. use your brain not your head. when im older..all her advices seems to fade away bit by bit. i dun know, i guess when you are older and becoming more matured, your own mind took control of yourself and your way of thinking becoming more complicated and optimistic. eventually, my mum's advises becoming more to only a guideline to me.

i bet in everybody's life, we all have a black dots in our memory book. some we will never forget and some we want to forget but we cant. yet, it always haunting me down whenever i let my guards down. and when it comes i feel sad, regrets, down and sorry for all the things i have done. i wish i can turn back time and amend my mistakes but that will be remarkably impossible.

after all these years..i always thinking that there are so much more in ones life that ones shouldn't neglect even a single tiny breath. whats the points if u arrived at point B while you still have unfinish business at point A?

P.S. reasons sometimes consisting of many different matters, the more you struggle the deeper you fall into it.

it was minus 2 outside. salji start turun hari ni. mcm biasa, aku pun sakai kejap. dorang (sapa dorang tu?) budget tahun ni winter sejuk sikit, anyways.., aku nak enjoy winter ni while it last!

canal pun dah start beku,tahun ni kemungkinan besar dorang (seriuosly..sapa dorang ni??) buat acara ice-skating kat centrum. aku nak try join!

budak2 ni pun dah start skating kat canal. aku try turun tadik, but once i step one foot onto the freezing canal....ive heard a cracking sound (bunyi mcm dlm cita "ice-age". heheheh..oversized badak nak try skating..). budak2 ni bila dengar tat cracking sound menggagau naik darat..ahhahahha..u shud've seen their faces!

P.S. one thing i like about winter is aku tak payah pening kepala nak pakai baju/fesyen apa. pakai la baju apa2 kat dalam then pakai winter jacket kat luar. pakai lah jaket tu seminggu or sebulan, nobody will cares! Winter Love.

Zaanse Schans, a museum village on the River Zaan, just north of Amsterdam. Salah satu tempat menarik yang patut dikunjungi oleh pelancong. Tempat ni sama mcm Kinderdijk, Rotterdam (Jelin tau tempat ni, kitorang gi sama2. Sorilah Jelin, aku x bawak ko gi sini). Cuma bezanya Kinderdijk banyak kincir angin berbanding kat sini. Tapi, viewnya jauh lebih cantik di sini berbanding Kinderdijk.

Here, u will find Albert Heijn's first grocery shop (kedai runcit kitaorang..), as well as various museums, a clogmaker, a cheese maker and a center for old craft and trades.

Of more than 600 of the original windmills from this area (within a range of 10km along the river), 4 windmills were re-erected and have been preserved. the first mill to be built here was a sawmill (1592), the 'green' mill also known as 'De Kat', a working mustard mill dating from 1786, the black 'Gekroonde Poelen-burg' (1869), an oil 'De Zoeker' and oil mill from 1672.

To the xtreme right is an oil mill, which makes oil out of linseed and peanut. Right next to it is a paint and chalk mill (De Kat). the third is a sawmill and the fourth mill is a mustard mill.

Salah satu kilang membuat cheese yang terdapat di sini. Aku & Insyirah dok mengulang makan 'free cheese' tasting. Bila habis je sekeping, anak aku kata, "Ayah, nak cheese lagi..." hahahaaa makan mcm nak bagi kenyang.. dia memg hantu cheese.. mcm aku la..

Antara deretan kedai yang terdapat di sini.. kedai antik, kedai roti.. dsbnya.

tahun ni aku nak try tanam tulip. last year dah terlepas musim. budget nak tanam keliling umah (termasuk garden belakang)..last2 aku tanam 'keliling' depan umah.

petani moden yang baru bangun tido. mandi pun tak lagi ni, kemungkinan besar tulip aku tak jadi.

antara batas2 tulip yg aku tanam. nampak tak bekas tapak kaki aku?? tak nampak?..alamat pendek umur..nak mampus ko ni

puh kanan, puh kiri, cekau cekau ah, cekau cekau ih, ekau ekau ah, ekau ih, haah haah, hiih hiih...jatuh gigi tinggal gusi (kasi jampi skit..)

2 minutes later... at 1331hrs. fyi,tuan punya patung ni slalu tukar baju patung ikut musim. skang musim luruh..so, patung tu pakai baju fesyen musim luruh.

1336hrs..first trafic light. nak masuk highway

1339hrs..cruzing more then 60 miles/hr. tak perasan ada overhead camera dekat flyover.

1341hrs, kuar highway masuk ke jalan persekutuan. hehehehhe...

1345hrs, im half way there

1345hrs, pokok dah banyak gonjeng. daun kebanyakan dah luruh. temperature dalam 5-7 degree C.

1346 hrs, kuar jalan persekutuan masuk ke jalan kampung.

1347hrs, nak sampai dah ni..

1349hrs, dah sampai. Kedai ni sebenarnya kedai 2nd hand. mcm2 benda ada, dr kaset versi VHS to brassiere n panties 2nd hand. believe it. aku carik 2nd hand book kat sini. murah. nak beli yang baru..agak mahal. tak mampu.

so guys, 18 minutes of my life on my previous saturday afternoon.

Dear All,

I have been driving (legally) for a decade. One would think I would have noticed the little secret on my dash that was staring me right in the face the whole time. I didn't and I bet you probably haven't either.

Quick question, what side of your car is your gas tank? If you are anything like me, you probably can't remember right away. My solution is to uncomfortably stick my head out the window, strain my neck and look. If you don't do this in your own car you definitely have done it in a borrowed or rental car.

Well ladies and gentlemen, I'm going to share with you my little secret so you will no longer look like Ace Ventura on your way to the gas station or put your neck at risk of discomfort or injury. If you look at your gas gauge, you will see a small icon of a gas pump. The handle of the gas pump will extend out on either the left or right side of the pump. If your tank is on the left, the handle will be on the left. If your tank is on the right, the handle will be on the right (see photo above). It is that simple!

I don't know how you feel right now but when I found out this morning I felt cheated! Why don't the dealers share such important information with car buyers? I don't understand why this isn't in the drivers ed manual? I don't get why any mechanic I have ever been too or know has even thought of mentioning this to me? The only possible explanation can be that all these people probably don't even know!

Go out and share the worlds best kept auto secret with your friends as this is information is way too important to be kept secret.

Well guys I've heard you…most probably my theories was fraud. Hhmm..maybe it do not applicable in all cars.

Anyways, i've been busy myself...doing some homework. I check all Malaysian car dealers (well..not all actually. ONLY the top guns). Yup, all the gas pump icon do displayed the opposite ways of where the your tank really is.

This is the best part, havent you noticed that the gas pump icon/fuel level indicator actually pointed at the positioning of the pump's handle at petrol station? not where the tank of your car situated! so when you arrived at any petrol station you will know right away which pump is appropriate fit for your car. simple solution isnt it?

My early entry said that if the handle of your gas pump icon on the left side, your tank will be on left and if the handle is at the right, your pump sitting on your right. Hahahah..abaikan. not applicable anyways.

So, there you have it. A simple answer for an important secret.

Have u ever heard a book called "bathroom reader"? i never realise these kind of book existed before few months ago. I'm impressed with the ideas, you know..instead of waiting to 'offloading' your excess baggage or counting how many offloading you're gonna make.....spending your time reading with your own quiet time in mind..well its a bliss!..wasn't it? enjoying your bathroom scenery...(hhmm..did i wash my underwear yesterday...~just a tot) not a very good idea either. with this book, never again will you have that last minutes scramble for the perfect read. all you need for supreme bathroom satisfaction is this absorbing tome!

fyi, the contents are divided by length for our own convenience, for example. 'Quickie' for those who really on the go, 'Regular Length' for those who have a few minutes to spare (maybe accompany by a stick of cigarette) and the 'Extended Sitting Section' which you may experience leg-numbing situations-not recommended (boleh kena buasir).

anyways, bini aku pada mulanya tau tabiat aku, pernah gelakkan aku, tapi.. dia pun dah terikut2.. well, kepada sesapa yg mempunyai tabiat yg sama, boleh la mendapatkan buku2 tersebut. to be honest with you, i don't know what to write and what to put. my blog is not a diary (if it was a diary..it will be very private and personal). after all, i never wrote a diary in my entire life..well..once, for a month...

let just say it is a journal of 30 year old married man, jobless, experiencing a brain shrinkage and in the edge.

i agreed..im not a good writer, well..not even close to good. Huh!!..sometimes, when i read other people's blog and compared it to mine, im furious, envy, jealous, all at the same time. how they could manipulated words so easily and beautifully without stumbling?. me? i cant even make a sentence without retyping the whole paragraph. ahhahahahahhaha....amend here and retype there, and the end result not as good as i imagine they will become. despite the fact that my brain is not used to write something or anything (im not saying im gud in maths..im dumb as a mule when it comes to calculation and methods), coming to think of it, at least im trying to write and tell...well..something.

i remember my teacher once said, "if u want to be a good writer..read a lot of books and try to understand them".

i remember every time i read an english book, there always a dictionary right beside me. after one paragraph..open dictionary, read one line, refer dictionary, simultaneously. after a while, i cant even remember what the heck im reading..once again, im lost in translation. it took me an hour to finish a chapter (about 15 pages..more or less).

i remember my first english book titled "Menti the mouse". i read it during one of my daily visit to the library every afternoon after school. i was 7 that time. actually i read the book by mistake. i used to read the same book (there were many series of 'Menti the Mouse' with his numerous adventure) but in Malay. One day, i accidentally borrowed the same book but in English. when i arrived home, it puzzled me, why i cant read the sentences and i cant even understand a single word. then i ask my mum to read it for me. She said, the book was in english language. she told me i cant read the book like the way i used to read in Malay language. (i was in Methodist school during my kindergarden..so i know very little english. i know a little bit Mandarin though..but now...totally forgot! what a loss).

now, im 30. what do a man in his 30 going to do with his life? life is short. and i cant even write a good article! there are so much to do in a very short time...

P.S. I think i still remember when i was 5, i lost my sandal at my neighbour's house. but the memories so faint..i dun think i can still remember all when im in my 60's..if?

i play bowling! and i even join bowling leauge.. heheheh..believe it.

bowling is not one of my favourite sport. but better than nuthing n it is one healthy way to socialize.i dun golf (i know most of my frends play golf)

bowlers in my league ni kira power la jugak. me..aku main bola straight, without any profesioanl training or watsoever. aku tak tau la main bola swing ke, pusing ke, yet. bagi aku, janji strike. tak kisah la apa org kata. janji enjoy!

eventho most of them are 'otai'..but they are goooood bowlers. u will be surprise on how they cud improvise themself with the bowling ball and become one.

heheheh.."improvise" i've heard tat word a lot nowadays especially in talk shows, news, MTV, celebrities interviews and reality shows. (wat do u xpect..i watched tv a lot..other than staying home..i watch the tele n of coz bowling..heheheh)

the mini bar where u cud order drinks and do some flirting. bowling alley? cmon. but just for the record, i do find one lady bartender<-- (betul ka aku nya istilah..correct me if im wrong) kind of cute. LOL!
