Something to remember

I admire P. Ramlee since i was a little kid, by tat time i didn't know who he was or what he does. Thanks for an early exposure by my father made me grew with his (P.Ramlee) songs and films.

antara wajah-wajah P.Ramlee

I like 'Bunyi Gitar' song, (the song also featured in Tiga Abdul movie, 1964). Its cathcy..make u wanna twist ~ wink.

And his movie, 'Seniman Bujang Lapok (1961)' love it!! Directed by P.Ramlee himself..yeah most of his film had been directed by him. Unfortunately, 'Ibu Mertuaku' ,1962 (i cant remember when was the last time i watched the movie, maybe 3-4 years ago..) didn't get my attention. His MIL was so mean! It showed us how a person can be bought easily, where love interpreted in a whole new meaning, and surprisingly crazy/stupid things a person capable of when love is in control.

anyways, i came across a blog today (link from my friend's blog). I had to borrow her quote..sorry, she had a cute definition of life. Here some of them;

'if life hands you lemons, make lemonade', meaning; an adjuration to make the best of difficult circumstances.

'life isn't all beer and skittles', meaning; life is not unalloyed pleasure or relaxation.

'while there's life there's hope', meaning; used as encouragement not to despair in an unpromising situation.

There's more actually, but i think we get the point, don't we.

P.Ramlee enjoyed and cherished his life i assumed. He live his life to the fullest. He experienced up n down (everybody does) especially during his final few years before he died in 29th May 1973 and he was 44. Sudden death of heart attack at 5.30 a.m. God bless his soul.

until now i still listen to his songs and enjoy his films. Is tat an early indication of getting older? or is it just my intuition. I remember a conversation me and wife a few days back (we were watching MTV at tat time).

"i like this song.." she said

"i know why u like tat song honey? Because all the music videos were early 90's. We were teenager back then and the songs were hits during those 'time'." i replied.

"Because we are getting older, today's songs doesn't mixed with our tunes anymore (well dun know u guys, happens to me tho). Plus we don't listen to present songs very often like we used to when we were teenager. That is why they doesn't get u groovin' if 50 cents videos being play or boneless dancing by Justin Timberlake"

"i bet our fathers will banging their head when Elvis's songs is playing on air..get the point"

anyways, older is better doesn't it. And we will die someday, sooner or later.

P.S. I'm getting my 30 next month. Average malaysian man died at the age of 71.5 and 76.2 for woman. So, i guess i will have another (+-) 40 more years to gamble (itu pun kalau umur panjang). if not...

until then
